Rianna Kopcho is a versatile guitarist, songwriter, performer, session musician, and content creator whose work spans genres from hardcore metal to acoustic folk and beyond. A passionate collaborator, Rianna thrives on co-writing with fellow musicians, crafting distinctive guitar parts, and delivering captivating performances. Her driving, intricate, and dynamic solos electrify audiences and infuse every show with undeniable energy.

Early History

Born into a military family, Rianna spent her formative years traversing the globe before settling in Omaha, Nebraska at age eleven. That same year, she discovered her passion for music and began studying guitar, piano, and violin. At fourteen, Rianna joined the School of Rock Omaha, where she uncovered her love for performance and rock music.

As her musical talents flourished, Rianna performed with the School of Rock at Summerfest and earned the distinction of being the only guitarist selected for the Nebraska All-State Jazz Band in 2019. In 2020, her exceptional abilities caught the attention of the Berklee College of Music, where she became the 24th recipient of the prestigious Jimmy Lyons Scholarship, granting her a full-tuition education.

Education and Performance Experience

Rianna graduated from Berklee in spring 2024 with a Guitar Performance major and a minor in the Theory of Jazz and Popular Song. During her time in Boston, she served as lead guitarist for various bands, performing at renowned venues like Brighton Music Hall and the Berklee Performance Center.

The past two years have also seen Rianna develop her teaching skills at Boston's School of Rock. Through this experience, her passion for music has deepened as she's witnessed its transformative impact firsthand. Her students have inspired her by overcoming challenges, gaining the confidence to perform, and discovering their own musical passions.

Current Endeavors

Rianna has recently returned to her hometown of Omaha to focus on creating original music while saving for a move to New York City. She currently teaches private lessons in guitar, piano, and drums, while simultaneously building her online presence through weekly YouTube videos exploring music theory and guitar techniques. Along with this, she is also performing with local cover band One2Go.

Above all, Rianna aims to inspire the next generation of musicians to embrace their authentic selves and become the representation they wish to see in the music industry.
